Under the influence of a controversial father (Jordan Chandler) told
his son to tell that Jackson had touched his penis.Jordan Chandler then
told a psychiatrist and later police that he and Jackson had engaged in

因為當年他和父親的生活太窮困，所以想出這個陷阱讓麥可跳入，製造了一場大騙局。
當年麥可為此事件支付2200萬美金(約7.24億台幣)和解金給Evan Chandler，希望事件可以落幕，但麥可的形象受到重創，就此開始依靠藥物過日子。
